EGI2025 was the closing event of interTwin. With two months to go until the project ends on August 31, 2025, it was time to showcase the project's achievements!

iMagine hosted the plenary session "Addressing AI needs for processing of imaging data: the case of Aquatic Science and the iMagine project".

After a warm-up exercise led by Smitesh Jain (EGI Foundation) to maintain high attention in the room, Gergely Sipos (EGI Foundation), the iMagine technical coordinator, set the scene and direction for future actions.

Álvaro López García (CSIC-IFCA) presented the features of the iMagine AI platform and the three-year development process that took place to fine-tune it according to the needs of aquatic science researchers. Fahimeh Alibabaei (KIT) gave insights into the experience of the iMagine Competence Centre, a format that proved to be successful and reusable in other projects and initiatives. Wout Decrop (VLIZ) provided a live demonstration of the FlowCam Phytoplankton Identification service, one of the iMagine five mature services already available for testing and reuse. Ilaria Fava (EGI Foundation) concluded with an overview of the collaboration achievements and the project's overall impact.

Concluding the session, the speakers formed a panel to answer participants' questions and discuss strategies for ensuring the broad and long-term adoption of AI through knowledge transfer, training, and community engagement.
