iMagine at Iliad and Blue Cloud 2026 Joint Workshop @ OCEAN 2025

On 16 June 2025, iMagine had the opportunity to participate in the workshop organised by Iliad and Blue Cloud 2026 at the OCEANS 2025 conference in Brest.

The project Scientific Director, Dick Schaap, presented the case of the iMagine AI Platform supporting aquatic science use cases, including a demonstration of the EMSO-OBSEA Fish Detection Service.

The workshop had the objective to promote the adoption and development of innovative technologies like Digital Twins of the Ocean to support the goals of the European Green Deal and the Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030. Through demonstration and technical service tracks, the workshop showcased how virtual, data-rich models of marine ecosystems can enhance decision-making, foster sustainability, and support climate resilience. The workshop aimed to encourage collaboration among research infrastructures and technology providers, stimulate the sharing of knowledge, and advance the digital twin pipeline from data collection to predictive analysis and visualisation.
